Courtyard by Marriott Ithaca Airport/University

I am giving this location a five star reviews simply based on one person. We were checked in by Jelissa, the funniest and kindest customer service rep who is in the absolute perfect position for her attitude. She was so sweet and made us feel so warm and welcome we are having a terrible night and she made us laugh and smile! Thank you for the five star customer service and the decent hotel room!

Our stay started off disappointing. When we arrived we were told there weren’t any clean rooms because of oversold. I made my reservation way in advance, and called three weeks Pryor multiple times to make sure everything was in order.. I was highly frustrated and didn’t have patience to go elsewhere. As we got settled in, my husband asked were we rude to the gentleman, I forgot his name but he’s the Kappa working..we went back down and apologized because it wasn’t his fault and he tried to do everything possible. That’s why I’m leaving such a good review because other than the room situation, for an outdated hotel it was well kept and beds were comfortable. Just the right location to Cornell.. I would stay again… and thanks again Mr. Kappa for putting up with our frustration. Love to see young men at check in

I usually don’t leave reviews but I must recognize Dionte the Front Desk Guest Service Agent. We were a little skeptical driving into the parking lot as it was super dark… For an outdated hotel, our stay was very relaxing. Would suggest bigger signage though. When we entered the building Dionte had this huge smile and infectious personality.! He made our check-in experience funny and memorable.. the way he made my elderly parents satisfied with his mannerism was off the chart. We had a second room, and I have special need kids, I came to the market to purchase some items to hopefully put the kids to sleep and you will never guess what happened. He asked was I okay, after traveling all day I was beyond tired. I said to him, I really wish I could get some sleep but the kids are hyper. He said hold on. He went in the back and got his Roku and put on Disney Plus for the kids to watch.. he told me he was done with his work and they could watch tv in the lobby for a little while.. I came to get them 30 mins later and Dionte has put both of them to sleep..!!!!! I cried because he did not have to do that… no one wants to watch someone else kids while they work and he went above and beyond as the Guest service agent.. I offered him a generous tip and he declined and told me you can’t pay him for doing a job he love… Never in my life have we had this type of experience while traveling and I’ve been all over the world. I didn’t get chance to speak to a manger so I felt Dionte deserved this review and the Courtyard should be very lucky to have an employee that really cares about the guest.!!!!! 1000/1000 we will be back… we got to McDonald’s on our rest break, and my daughter asked “are we going to play with Dionte again”?? I was shocked on how she remembered his name just that short time. Thank you again Dionte. Keep Smiling and being the wonderful person you are… Also added, this was our FIRST EXPERIENCE IN ITHACA.. Property right by the airport and close to Statler… definitely great seeing a Gentleman work the desk that doesn’t have an attitude and is very pleasantry

Nice hotel with clean rooms and friendly service. They have complimentary ice water and coffee in the lobby, along with hot water as well. However, for some reason they stopped offering the hot water on the second day I stayed and they stopped refilling the hot chocolate as well which was alright. There is no complimentary breakfast, but they have free parking all around the hotel and a nice lobby with plenty of comfortable seating. The only problem I encountered was that the room’s air conditioning was awfully loud. However, overall it was a pleasant experience, and the bathroom and room as a whole was clean.

I had a recent stay here and it was pretty nice. My only issue was the Bistro wasn't operating as expected. It's not a whole lot of great food options in this area either. The staff provided excellent service around the clock. I checked in on 5/10/25 around 2 am. The service was great from then until checkout. The Mgr. Mike and staff, does all he can to accommodate guests.

Honestly it was great. Super nice people and the room was comfortable such a short distance to the airport. I would definitely recommend it and would stay again.

I’ve stayed at the Courtyard Marriott a couple of times now, and every visit reminds me why I choose the Marriott brand. The staff truly makes the experience. From my very first stay with Karen, who set the tone with her professionalism and warmth, to Christy at check in and Moe at The Bistro, who go above and beyond every time, and all the way down to Dante the night audit who all deliver that genuine Marriott hospitality this team shines. They take pride in what they do, and it shows. Friendly service, helpful attitudes, and a feeling of being welcomed from the moment you walk in. This is the kind of staff that makes a hotel stand out.

We had to stay here last minute because our apartment wasn’t ready in time. The rooms were nice, quiet, and clean. And the staff was all so nice and helpful, particularly the front desk managers and GM, Kayla Wood, Adarsha Acharya, and Michael Lopez. Our family will definitely be staying here when they visit.
